The Grand Planet Tutorial

This is one of my biggest projects as of now. An in-depth guide to the basic creation of a realistic planet in Photoshop. A HUGE thanks goes out once again to my good friend ~Crosseout who took my jumble of text and screenshots and turned them into this flawless presentation. I couldnt have done it with out you bud.

I know there are a lot of planet tutorials out there already, but I have read many of them and tried to combine them into the method that works best for me. The techniques are even changing, so hopefully there is something new in here for everyone. And if this is your first attempt at a planet, my biggest advice is to keep at it. Ive made hundreds and hundreds of planets before they came out even close to what i wanted.
